Not just the last words in Kenneth Williams' diaries, but my thought's for a long time, on the need to clutter up the already overstuffed internet with blogs. I am not a journalist, philosopher, politician or critic, so my point of view seemed hardly relevant.
However, times change. These days we are all journalists, philosophers and critics, be it through message board threads or Tripadviser. The danger is that we believe this to be true and fail to appreciate the work the the professionals of these arts actually do. Whilst Tripadvisor and Amazon reviews may be useful they should not be allowed the replace the value that is added by a quality, professional, informed opinion from someone with literary ability.
I kid my self not that the world would be much interested in my musings, but it is actually satisfying to put some random thoughts and feelings in some kind of print, in one place. Consequently I will start by including some thoughts and reviews I have placed elsewhere on the net for the sake of tidiness
